Attention Fathers: Lock up your daughters!

3 reasons why you should lock up your daughters around my son:

1. Gavin currently has 6 girlfriends at school. He can't remember all of their names because it's not really important. This number increases by 1-2 every week or so.

2. The other day, he gave me a kiss right on the lips and said, "I'm a really good kisser, Mommy".

3. This is how my dad found him at a family wedding last weekend...he had just met her.

Gavin's school play

Unfortunately, Gavin's school play was the week before I got my new super-easy video camera. We did use the traditional bulky, hard-to-use camera, but I don't know how to get it off the tape anyway, so it'll probably stay on there until Gavin grows up and gets married. We did, however, take pictures, which I know how to download!!! So here are some highlights...

Gavin sticks out his tongue and tells us to stop looking at him.

Gavin is still sticking his tongue out at us and is now telling us to stop taking video/pictures.

Gavin has actually stopped telling us to stop watching him long enough to sing his song and do his dance with his classmates.

Gavin is called to the microphone to explain his self-portrait.

Gavin's self-portrait is shown to the audience.

my little black raincloud

We're on YouTube!!!!

A package arrived on our doorstep yesterday, and as we know, Jay can never wait until the actual holiday to give a gift. So I got an early, awesome Mother's Day gift -- a Flip Video Camera! It's the size of a cell phone, fits in my purse, and is super-easy to use. I LOVE IT. And just in time for Logan's school play (Winnie the Pooh and Friends) starring Logan as the Raincloud!

Go Tigers!

"I'm gonna kill it, Daddy!"

"Flowers for you, Nana."
"Ok, this is getting kind of old now."

Weapons, Legos, & Cadbury Eggs

The Easter Bunny knows just what we like.

Papa, you are UNDER ARREST!!!!

One side note: Later that day, Jay was aggravated over a scratch in the new screen of the boy's window. While pondering to himself the cause of the scratch, and muttering some choice words under his breath, the boys came to the conclusion that the Easter Bunny was to blame. Eureka! They said this with such conviction that I just had to laugh....

Logan says, "I know, Daddy!!!!!! It was the Easter Bunny!!!!! He scratched the screen with his paws when he came in to give us our Easter presents!"

Then, shaking his head, Gavin says, "That Easter Bunny!!!! Geez!"

Mama's little rainy day helpers - a.k.a. Spring Break '09, Part 3

Yet some more indoor play time. Hooray.
In an effort to get creative, we invited Nana and Papa over for dinner and the kids helped me make a trifle.

DELISH!

Indoor Fun - a.k.a. - Spring Break '09, Part 2

It's still raining, so we took the opportunity to color our Easter eggs.
Can you tell they could really use some outside play time? It's getting a little crazy around here...

Signs of Aging

GAVIN: Why do you have all those lines right there by your eyes?

MOMMY: Right where?

GAVIN: Right there by your eyes. Like when you smile. I don't have those lines like that.

MOMMY: Oh, those are wrinkles. Thanks for noticing.

GAVIN: What are wrinkles?

MOMMY: Wrinkles are what you get when you're getting older.

GAVIN: Oh. Are you going to go to heaven like Great-Great-Nana? She was REALLY old!
