Nana's TV

First, you have to understand that we have had only the most basic cable channels for the past couple of years. Besides saving money on our cable bill, an unexpected added advantage is the fact that the kids only watch Netflix thereby missing out on the joy of cable television commercials. Remember Saturday morning cartoons and all the cool toys you longed for? They have no idea about any of that and not a clue as to what toys are "in" at the moment. This comes in awfully handy at Christmas time and for their birthdays. They really have no idea what's out there in the world of toys since I usually avoid the toy aisle and Toys R Us at all costs.

In the car this morning on the way to Nana's....
GAVIN: I don't like Nana's TV, Mom. I only like our TV.
ME: Why?
GAVIN: Because just when you get to good part....like on 'Good Luck, Charlie' or something when they go to jail...it all of a sudden says, "We'll be right back after this". I hate that!
