The Allison Weekly 11/11/2013-11/17/2013

This week we celebrated 12 years of marriage. It's hard to believe it's been that long! Nana and Papa finally made it back from their world travels, and just in time to give us a bottle of champagne from France from Roy and Nancy. They happily took the kids for a sleepover after not seeing them for almost a month (and spoiled them with souvenirs) so we could have a date night. Sushi dinner -- He still knows the way to my heart after all these years.

In other news, Keegan had his first fluffernutter sandwich. And loved it.

We had a second date night and a second round of sushi!

Seminole gummies and a lunch date with Ella.

Life's A Party

This weekend we quite the party weekend.

We had a triple-Zoinks-birthday-party on Friday night. The jury is still out on whether that momma was smart to do them all together or just down right crazy! The occupancy capacity in the party room said "27", but there were at least 30 kids, plus all parents (maybe an additional 20 or so). It was comical and had my phone not been completely dead, I would have taken pictures. Not my idea of a great Friday night. They really should consider selling beer and wine at that obscenely bright, noisy place, but the kids enjoyed themselves. Lucky Jay got to stay behind to attend a party with the governor following his budget unveiling today.

Gavin won an FSU ball from the claw-grabber machine thing. This was quite a feat since 3/4ths of the balls were Gator colors!

Saturday morning laundry sorters.
Sometime on Saturday I looked outside and saw this many kids playing in my driveway. I just love that about our neighborhood! Makes my heart smile. Keegan is in the tree and there are a couple of others not pictured. Poor Ella is the only girl, but she's oblivious to it!

 We found time to read.
And I made this many PBJ's for the neighborhood kiddos.
We had a little Superbowl party with Nana and Papa.

And snuggled up by the fire to watch the kickoff.
A grand party weekend, indeed.

Toys, Toys Everywhere

We got all gussied up for the annual Toys for Tots party at Dover Farm. What's not to love about toys (for a good cause), food, and an open bar!?!?! This year, the Coddington's also had an invite and we were given two extra invitations to share with others.

I took this as an opportunity to get some new photos of the fam.

 Still Daddy's girl.
Upon arrival, Keegan was immediately drawn to his best friend, Chase, and family.
Oh, Lord help me! Can't you just see these two in the year 2023 at a frat party?
 Chow.
The very lovely Lauren. She gives me my "girl fix" on a regular basis.
The highlight of the evening (from the boys' perspective)...football, girls, and rolling down a huge hill.
Papa wearing Keegan's hat for the picture.

Bucket List #6 -- The Lorax

Yes, that's 2 movies in 1 week, but the weather has been horrible and Mommy and Daddy have to shop for a new house!

Bucket List #5 -- Bake a Cake

Someone special has a birthday tomorrow!

Bucket List #3 -- Movies

Bucket List #2 -- Go Fishin'

We ventured over to Lake Hall (one of our favorite swimming holes) to participate in a city-sponsored Kids Fishing Day. They worked the kids through various stations (knot tying, safety, baiting the hook, etc.) with a grand finale of fishing off the dock using hot dogs as bait. No, we didn't catch anything, but Logan will tell you that he "ALMOST" caught a fish like TONS of times!

Gavin wins the casting contest! He's a natural!

And Logan wins a door prize! I wish I could say it was that Allison family luck, but we all know it's because that Lucky Coddington came along for the ride!

Worm gruntin'. Yes, this is real. It's a work of art down here.

See...I told you it was real!

After we grew tired of fishing, we enjoyed some fun in the sun, had a picnic lunch, and cooled off in the lake.

The boys met some friends and quickly conquered their boat!

Our Summer Bucket List appears to be off to a great start.
